Resident Initiatives provides support services to EPHA residents receiving Public Housing or Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) assistance. Support services are designed to assist eligible residents through a comprehensive framework of community social service providers that address a variety of needs.
Resident Initiatives hosts a variety of programs designed to address specific needs of the residents including Youth Services, Family Self-Sufficiency, and Tenant Association Boards. Through these programs, residents are linked with community resources, resident empowerment activities and other services that assistance residents in becoming economically self-sufficient.
Program goals are intended to facilitate economic uplift and provide access to skills development and resources necessary for employment preparation, retention, and business development.
Youth Services is dedicated to improving the lives and livelihoods of children and older youth residing in our developments.
The neighborhood community center, a recreational center operated by the East Point Housing Authority, provides access to physical space for education, personal and a computer lab for EPHA residents.
The Resident Association Board (RAB), unites residents with the EPHA in planning and decision making processes in order to make resident neighborhoods better places to live.
United Way of Greater Atlanta's 2-1-1 Contact Center connects families with community resources that enables them to thrive - resources like food pantries, job search and placement agencies, and financial emergency assistance agencies.
