Public Housing was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for low-income to moderate families, elderly persons and persons with disabilities. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administers federal aid to local housing agencies to manage the housing for residents at rents they can afford.
Simply visit the management office for the development (whose waitlist is Closed) to request an application or visit the East Point Housing Authority (EPHA) to request an application for Public Housing.
Is your income level within the “Income Guidelines”?
Do you have a history free of drug use/or abuse and free of alcohol abuse?
Have you been a previous resident of EPHA or another housing authority and do not have an outstanding balance with that program?
Congratulations! If you answered “yes” to these questions, you may qualify for Public Housing.
