East Point Housing Authority’s (EPHA) Youth Services is dedicated to improving the lives and livelihoods of children and older youth residing in our developments.
Youth Services link youth to positive programs such as Girls and Boys Scouts, afterschool and tutoring programs, self-esteem, self-identity and mentoring programs. EPHA believes activities that encourage positive relationships and positive experiences lead to positive choices. Activities include educational, cultural and inspirational arts and crafts, creative writing, sports and career development. These programs and activities can build character that transition youth to positive, productive adults.
Program goals are intended to facilitate economic uplift and provide access to skills development and resources necessary for employment preparation, retention, and business development.
With the goal of improving lives, EPHA is dedicated to reaching out to high risk adolescents and teens, providing opportunities to achieve goals. This can be achieved by eliminating barriers—the cycle of poverty, unemployment and broken homes.
Summer Camp & Afterschool Programs
Summer camp and afterschool programs are available to EPHA youth for free or low cost. The neighborhood camps and afterschool programs offer fun academic and physical activities for youth in our developments.
