HCV Landlords
Annual HQS Inspections - Annual inspections will be suspended until further notice. If you have an annual inspection appointment scheduled, your inspection will be rescheduled at a later date.
Follow-up Annual Inspections - If an annual HQS inspection was performed and a follow-up inspection is due, landlords and participants will be asked to self-certify that deficiencies cited during the annual inspection have been corrected. Both the owner and tenant must sign the self-certification document for the unit to pass inspection. Self-certification forms will be made available to the landlord, either on the website or emailed to the landlord. The certification must be submitted on or before the due date.
Move-In Inspections - Move-in inspections will be conducted as long as the tenant has not moved into the unit. The inspector will contact the owner the day before the inspection and prior to entering the unit, to confirm that the owner, manager or representative to be present during the inspection is not experiencing flu-like symptoms. The inspection will be rescheduled if the owner, manager or representative is not well.
Portability Intake Appointments - If you have a portability intake appointment, it will be rescheduled at a later date. Please complete, sign and date the forms in the portability intake packet that was mailed to you. Mail the completed packet with the requested documents to your Housing Specialist, Camellia Shuler. Ms. Shuler’s contact information can be found on our website, https://www.eastpointha.org/contact-us/. All family members 18 years or older must sign all forms in the portability packet. You will receive a letter from Ms. Shuler with additional information regarding the portability briefing and issuance of your voucher. If you have questions, please refer to our website, https://www.eastpointha.org/contact-us/ as we are updating information as needed or you may call Ms. Shuler.
Portability Briefings - In office, face-to-face portability briefings have been suspended until further notice.
